We are delighted to announce the signing of winger Brandon Slater from North Shields FC.

The 26 year old returns to Gateway Park for his second spell following his departure in the summer of last year, Brandon was a key part of the squad during his previous spell at the club with some memorable moments which include the NFA Senior Cup final and earning promotion to the NPL for the first time in the clubs history.

After returning to Blyth, Slats said:

“Buzzing to be back playing for Blyth where I’ve played my best football in the past. When Mick spoke to me about coming back and what his ambitions for the season I couldn’t say no. Looking forward to meeting the lads again and getting a good pre season under our belt. Hoping for a good cup run and to fight at the top of the league this season”

Speaking on the signing Manager Michael Connor said :

“Slats is a player who started the revolution at Blyth Town all those years ago another who I wanted to get back on board as I know what he brings on and off the pitch.”
