Blyth Town Juniors are the youth section of Blyth Town FC, a community-based football club in Blyth, Northumberland (England). The club itself was founded in 1995, originally as a junior football club with just three teams, and has since grown into a large setup with boys’, girls’, and senior teams.
Junior Section Structure
The junior setup is quite extensive and includes:
- Teams from Under-8s up to Under-18s
- Multiple squads per age group (e.g. Blues, Whites, Greens)
- Separate boys’ and girls’ teams
- A foundation/academy programme for younger children
They also run:
- Weekly training sessions
- Weekend matches (Saturday and Sundays for youth teams)
- Development opportunities for players not yet in teams
All coaches at Blyth Town Juniors are qualified to the required FA standards and have up to date DBS in place to ensure the club is compliant to the required FA standards.
Matches and training sessions are held at Gateway Park and South Beach Playing Fields, Blyth, where the club benefits from access to both high-quality grass and 3G playing surfaces. The site is equipped with modern changing facilities, ensuring a comfortable environment for players and officials.
In addition, the clubhouse includes a welcoming kitchen area, which is open on training evenings and match days and provides a range of hot and cold refreshments for players, families, and visitors. This helps to create a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for all those attending fixtures.
