We are delighted to announce the signing of centre back Alfie Marriot from Shildon AFC.

The 22 year old returns to Gateway Park for a second spell following his move from Gateway Park to South Shields in January 2023.

The 6ft tall, ball playing centre-back joins the club following a successful season with Shildon. Despite the disappointment of play off final heartbreak, he played a key role in their season, helping the Railwaymen keep 12 clean sheets in 31 appearances in the Northern League Division One.

After signing, Alfie said:

“I’m buzzing to be here and can’t wait to get started. It’s a great club to be a part of and a club going in the right direction. I’m looking forward to meeting the lads and to see what the season brings.”
