We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Andy Burn from Heaton Stannington FC.
The 24 year old joins Blyth Town following an outstanding five year spell at The Willow Park, where he made 223 appearances and scored 22 goals. A huge influence both on and off the pitch, Andy leaves Heaton Stannington as a true club legend, having played a key role in there promotion to the Northern Premier League and their historic NFA Senior Cup win in which Andy converted his penalty.
Following his signing, Andy Said:
“I am really looking forward to getting started, Everything about the club is looking up and I’m buzzing to be a part of it. With the foundations in place and the lads already here and coming in, I know we will be giving it a right good go next year and it’s looking a very excited season ahead🤍💙”
Speaking on the signing Manager Michael Connor said :
“Andy is a player that I’ve admired from the moment I saw him play for Heaton Stan four years ago, another who has great energy, reads the game superbly and a real character in the dressing room, a real coup for the club.”
Welcome to Blyth Town FC Andy 💙💚
